In response to many requests from members, here is information on a very good
alternative to using OE parts to replace the EFI connectors.
I sourced this from Quikcrimp in Glenorchy, Tas, but you may be able to get them from
elsewhere. They are packaged in a Quikcrimp container, and made in Taiwan - no other
source details. The Quikcrimp part description is "REGULATOR PLUG" and the part
number is BRP1. Cost is about $8.20 each.
Sorry about the heavy shadows on the pics, but I'll briefly explain a few features:
The clip. When you push this TOWARDS the plug, the clip ends retract and the plug is released. You can do this with the tip of a screwdriver, in practice, in the most inaccessible of locations. The extra width of the plug here may mean that the injector or sensor may have to be rotated for clearance. Usually OK.
Locating rib groove - below middle of clip. On some Nissan sensors they use a rib offset to one side. You may have to file the rib off the sensor if you're using one of these plugs, but be careful not to reverse the pins as some components doen't like reversed polarity.
Curved cutout - Opposite rib groove - same as standard for injector body clearance.
Neoprene anti dampness gasket (around pin holders)
Pins are solderable as well as crimp - I did both on my Z31's injectors
Boot is a very nice tight fit on the connector.

Quikcrimp tell me that they cannot do orders outside Tasmania,
but if anyone wants any I will be happy to organize it for a small fee to cover p&p
and my time.
